what a nice relaxing weekend. although it shouldn't be! well... i am working on homework finally (this is just a quick break). we spent thanksgiving with some of nick's family in rochester, mn. my apple pie turned out great despite it looking very dry and nasty. i suppose looks really can be deciving! then we braved the crowded stores the next day. not only were the stores a mess, so were the roads with our first good snowfall of the season. normally everything is plowed right away, but with it being a holiday things got a little behind and by 11:00 when we headed home the freeway was still unplowed! that's unheard of around here. the only things we ended up buying were christmas decorations. we're not buying high tech gadgets like we were last year so we didn't really need to get anything right away. we didn't find any deals we absolutly needed. however, i did find a million more things to add to my christmas list. like an electric toothbrush! do any of you have one of those? is it worth it? i think i want the phillips sonicare elite 7500 it sounds pretty good to me. target had a pretty good deal on it too. hmmm... nick on the other hand is racking his brain to figure out what he wants. although the things he really has in mind are at least $300 and that's not gonna happen :) i think we'll do most of our shopping online actually...no tax. no lines. no driving. hello! i've enjoyed the shopping online too. i can find the best deal and i can just save my list on the computer or froogle.com for nick to see. so exciting! i can't wait to wrap my presents and have my first christmas with my husband!
