thanksgiving eve

well, another week gone by without an entry. sorry guys. last week was seriously one of the busiest weeks i've had in a long time. i had clinicals to finish up, tons of errands to run and gifts to buy for birthdays and such, books to read and work. i'm glad thanksgiving break started today. although i still have quite a bit of homework to do. i am taking two classes independently and it's now time for the essays to be due for them. not to mention my other classwork that i've put off while i was in clinicals needs to be completed. last week the second grader i nanny for celebrated her 8th birthday. i was able to help get things ready for the party and stay for a bit of it. my favorite part was watching them do karaoke to hillary duff and radio disney songs. it was hilarious! the kindergartener attepmted ymca from another cd...she has no idea how the verses went. there was a lot of "blah blah blah" and her just shouting out random words that were being lit up. so funny! today i will be baking my first apple pie. i wanted to practice last week, but didn't have time. this first pie of mine will be traveling with us to rochester, mn for thanksgiving with nick's family. i know i can follow a recipe, but i'm nervous about making my own crust. the pressure is on! i know a ton of things have taken place in the last week...i just can't bring them to my mind right now. enjoy your thanksgiving!
