i'm alive

not writing for a week is strange for me. but here i am. i started clinicals this week (going into the public schools for two days all day) and that made things a bit crazier. i'm really enjoying it though. i'm at a suburban middle school. the kids are so well behaved! i expected them to be much scarier than they were and also more mature :) tomorrow i'm teaching a lesson comparing and contrasting monologues and plays. i have prepared a monologue from a book written for teens to perform. i get to be a girl obsessing over class pictures and the zit on her nose. oh the worries of a seventh grader! we'll see how much i like to repeat the same lesson seven times! nick has headed out to vegas for a few days with work. i'm jealous of this trip and wish i could come with him. but i'll be ok since it is for business and he won't be able to go out and see much of the city. he's promised me we'd go again and fully experience everything. he does get to stay in the venetian though and maybe eat at emril's restaurant. we have started making our chirstmas plans official. looking at plane tickets and such. i'm having a hard time knowing i'll be leaving my cat. oh how pathetic! i'm really looking forward to christmas this year. i actually want it to snow soon. maybe it's because i've designed our christmas card and it rocks but we have to wait for snow to take our picture. i'm anxious for thanksgiving so i can start playing christmas music. nick won't let me until then (although i sneak it when he's gone). we will be coming to winchester. i will actually be in on the 15th to attend bree's wedding on the 16th and i think we'll leave on the 27th since i have to be back early for student teaching. enough for today...i've got homework to do since i work both of my jobs today and won't be home till 10:00. have a good one!
