mexican sunday

what a fantastic weekend - and it's not complete yet. yesterday i had a "real saturday" again. this means i was able to sleep until i was no longer tired instead of my alarm commanding me to rise and attend class or a bridal shower (this has been the case for several weeks). normally after a few hours of wasting time i bring myself to do some homework, but there was no need for that. i only have to take one final and give a presentation on tuesday and who really does anything on saturday that is due on tuesday? i spent the rest of the day watching the entire third disc of the first season of friends with nick, dinner with megan, and "just married" with dawn. today was church of course, but on the way home the weather was out of control. in the 20 minute drive we encountered freezing rain, rain, snow, rain and clear skies (in that order). it's may for cryin out loud! what the heck? then it was the last sunday day of tacos at nick's apartment. :( it has become tradition to make tacos (we fry the shells and everything) with nick's roommates and chrissy. since nick and andre are moving this week and chrissy will be in her new apartment it was our last supper together as a family. and after watching the national geographic channel for a few hours i was invited to eat enchiladas at lydia's during extreme makeover home edition. it's just a mexican sunday! i suppose we could say it's an early celebration of cinco de mayo :)
