bowl-a-rama
i went bowling last night! now this may sound rather uneventful for many of you, but for me it was high excitement. allow me to explain: 1. i was being a fun married person. so many times people get married and they stop haning out with non married folks. this could easily be the case with us, especially since so many of our friends got married this summer. but we went with two of our good friends that are single and had a blast. 2. i have not been bowling in almost three years! yes, that's right. for some reason the idea of bowling doesn't come up around here much. it's eating out, going for walks, seeing a band play and watching movies. why? you may ask when you live in the city...that's a great question. 3. it was smoke free! thanks to the smoking ban in minneapolis i was able to bowl and not come home smelling like an ash tray. 4. they made it cosmic bowling. we got there after the leagues were over and all the lights were on with no music. but half way through our first game the lights went out and the music was crankin. this also improved my game with the energy of the music :) 5. i didn't think once about homework. i've been doing that alot lately and i really needed a break. there you have it...why bowling was a huge highlight in my life even after years of it being one of the few options for a place to go in winchester and springfield. it has brought me joy once again.

Dang, if our bowling alley was smoke free I'd be more prone to go as well. And yay for being a "fun married person" and for not thinking about homework.
